Alcoa Dura-Bright® Wheels - For Good Looks and Easy Maintenance
Alcoa has introduced its Dura-Bright® process after more than six years of development. The idea was to make our one-piece, forged aluminum wheels even more attractive to our customers - by making them easier to maintain. We know that there will always be those who take pride in polishing their Alcoa wheels until they shine like new. We also know that not everyone has the manpower to do this. Dura-Bright® makes Alcoa wheels as easy to maintain as any other beauty surface on a vehicle.

Alcoa Dura-Bright® Wheels for good looks and easy maintenanceWith Dura- Bright wheels, there is:
No painting
No polishing
No need for special chemicals.

Regular washing with soap and water does the trick.

Bottom Line? They Look Great with Less Effort
Alcoa Dura-Bright® Wheels for good looks and easy maintenanceDura-Bright® wheels easily shed dirt, brake dust and grease. Wash the grime off - with no scrubbing, no abrasive compounds or materials, no special chemicals and watch them shine. Wipe them dry to avoid water spots, and they look as good as new. And, they can be cleaned as often as you like. The more often they are cleaned, the less corrosion from road soils and brake dust will occur. It's that easy.

Dura-Bright® Wheels Vs. Polished Wheels
Alcoa Dura-Bright® Wheels for good looks and easy maintenanceThere are two facets to "shine." Brightness is the comparative luminance, or ability to radiate or reflect light, of one surface over another. Image clarity refers to the definition or quality of the reflections you can see on a surface. When the Dura-Bright® treatment is applied to Alcoa polished aluminium wheels, the surface loses some of its image clarity. However, the brightness of the wheel is greater and remains in tact. Image clarity is also high and, when taking a picture of a Dura-Bright® wheel, the photographer still has to watch out for unwanted reflections.

Alcoa Dura-Bright® wheels:
Maintain their bright, shiny looks year after year
Clean up easily, saving you money and manpower
Offer all the advantages of Alcoa one-piece, forged aluminium wheels.

Corrosion? Filiform? No Problem.
Although the surface of a Dura-Bright® wheel can be scratched or nicked, it is difficult to do so and that's where the damage ends. There isn't any filiform creep to slowly destroy the surrounding area and impair the brilliance of the wheel. And, the Dura-Bright® finish won't crack or peel. Corrosion and oxidation don't stand a chance either. Aluminium is a tough opponent for these destructive processes. Add in Alcoa's Dura-Bright® process, and the barrier becomes almost impenetrable.

Dura-Bright® wheels are protected against:
Corrosion from brake dust, salt and oil residue
The discoloring effects of oxidation
Filiform caused by nicks, scratches and gauges.

As good as they look the day a Dura-Bright® wheel is first mounted is as "bad" as it will ever look. This means that the shine doesn't fade, corrosion won't take hold, filiform won't set in, and the surface doesn't discolor.
